High-achieving Arizona graduating high school seniors from Maricopa, Pinal, Yavapai, or Coconino counties who plan to major in Education at ASU, UofA, or NAU are eligible to apply for a $6,000 renewable "Centennial Scholars Program" award from the Arizona Republic, 12 News-tv, & the Arizona Republic's on-line version, azcentral.com . Judges will choose up to 10 scholarship winners based on academic achievement, interviews, & essays. Scholarship funds are renewable for up to 4 years & may be used to cover tuition, fees, books, & on-campus room and board. Adding to the funds is program partner "Arizona Community Foundation", who will provide support services for student success.
