Scholarships for high school students

High-achieving Arizona graduating high school seniors from Maricopa, Pinal, Yavapai, or Coconino counties who plan to major in Education at ASU, UofA, or NAU are eligible to apply for a $6,000 renewable "Centennial Scholars Program" award from the Arizona Republic, 12 News-tv,  & the Arizona Republic's on-line version, azcentral.com. Judges will choose up to 10 scholarship winners based on academic achievement, interviews, & essays. Scholarship funds are renewable for up to 4 years & may be used to cover tuition, fees, books, & on-campus room and board. Adding to the funds is program partner "Arizona Community Foundation", who will provide support services for student success. To apply, graduating senior must be Arizona residents, 2012 graduates from an Arizona high school in Maricopa, Pinal, Yavapai, or Coconino counties only; have a GPA of at least 3.5 & plan to major in Education at ASU, UofA, NAU. Essay questions will explore why applicants are choosing to become teachers, as well as any major obstacles they have overcome. Preference is given to students who have a high class rank, have participated in community service work & school activities, and or have financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or  FAFSA. To renew a scholarship, winners must maintain at least a 3.5 GPA, be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours, & keep Education as their major or course of study. Application deadline is April 6, 2012….Applicants will be interviewed in mid-May, with all winners announced after the final interview date..

From Faculty to EdTech Alumni & Graduates

Greetings Educational Technology students! On behalf of the Educational Technology faculty I would like to congratulate students in the Med Educational technology program who are graduating in the Spring 2017 semester. The faculty of the program have a wonderful opportunity for those attending commencement on Saturday, May 13 at the Flagstaff campus. Following commencement at the Walkup Skydome, a reception will be held at the College of Education.
