Tianli Educational Research Institute (TERI) invites applicants for two full-time Senior Educational Researcher (SER) positions in two areas: 1) Educational Technology, and 2) Curriculum and Instruction  to work in Tianli Educational Research Institute. As a newly established research institute under the Shenzhou Tianli Education Group (Tianli Education), the mission of TERI is to provide guidance and leadership for the whole Group by designing evidence-based, scientific, and innovative approaches and methods in areas of curriculum and instruction, leadership and administration as well as educational technology. Each SER is responsible for establishing Tianli Education's visions and strategic development plan in their own specific area; leading all aspects of the Group's development; setting Tianli Education's strategic direction, development and future growth; guiding all educational issues; and monitoring and evaluating in- and out-of school educational practice to advance the quality of teaching and learning, leadership and administration, and technological implementation within all Tianli Education schools. As a full time educational researcher, each SER reports directly to the Dean of Tianli Educational Research Institute.

Responsibilities:

1.       Establish Tianli Education's technical visions, leading all aspects of the Group's technology development, setting Tianli Education's strategic direction, development and future growth;

2.       Conduct independent research on topics related to educational technology including data collection, data analysis, data entry and data organization, writing reports and presenting research work to internal Tianli staff members and external national and international meetings.

3.       Collaborate with other educational technology researchers both nationally and internationally on research projects.

4.       Develop and design evidence-based application materials and tools such as educational technology manuals and handbooks that can be implemented in Tianli Education schools;

5.       Disseminate and implement various educational technology design models and best practices in Tianli schools through continuous research and testing;

6.       Communicate with Tianli principals, other administrators and teachers, both in and out of schools, help orient and train Tianli principals, administrators, and teachers in technology;

7.       Help lead a cross-campus research team comprised of various educational technology staff members within Tianli Education schools by assigning research projects to team members, monitoring progress, and conducting monthly meetings, etc.;

8.       Help coordinate various academic activities and events organized by TERI such as conferences, educational forums, and invited talks.

Qualifications:

1.       Master degree in educational technology or other relevant areas;

2.       Understanding of educational theories, educational technology theories and practices (both Asian and Western theories);

3.       Experience in conducting educational research (either quantitativequalitative researchor both). Strong ability in data analysis programs (e.g., SPSS or N-vivo) and other computer programs (Excel, PowerPoint);

4.       Experience in presenting at national or international education conferences or publishing at national or international education journals (preferred);

5.       Experience in working as educational technology staff at the K-12 levels (preferred);

6.       Understanding of students at the K-12 levels;

7.       Passion about making a difference in education;

8.       Fluency in both English and Chinese (oral and written);

9.       Strong organizational, time management, presenting, and leadership skills;

10.   Positive attitudes and a good team player

Qualifications:

1.       Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction or other relevant areas (ABDs considered);

2.       Deep understanding of educational theories, curriculum design, and instructional methods (both Asian and Western theories);
