Free PD Opportunities in Surrounding Areas

I wanted to share a few free PD Opportunities that we’re hosting in partnership with Microsoft for back to school.

These can be registered for through the links below each location and date. Thanks for passing these along!

MIE Office 365 Teacher Academy

This 1-day Teacher Academy allows participants to take a deep dive into cloud-based tools for the classroom, with a special focus on topics such as file storage, collaboration and communication using Office 365.  It also gives educators the opportunity to apply their learning towards the end of each part of the session - reflecting on the topics covered, as well as strategizing on how they can be put to the best use in the classroom or with other educators.  Bring your own Windows 8.1 or 10 device for the best experience.

School Computing Policy

Question: Assignment 2, question 12. School's computing policies. I don't have teaching experiences or any school affiliation yet, what should I do?  Answer: We can select any school's or school district's computing policy. If you know which school you may be teaching it, its policy could be a good one. Or you can just select the one from your local schools.  Generally, schools or school districts should publish their policy on the website. For example, here is the one from the Kyrene school district. https://www.kyrene.org/Page/21478
