Writing Support from University Writing Commons (UWC) at NAU

I'm writing in regard to your Fall courses, and to inform you that the University Writing Commons (UWC) will continue to be operating and available for services in the upcoming Fall 2020 and Spring 20201 semesters. The UWC is a program designed to give free one-on-one writing support to students, faculty, and staff across campus. Our excellent Writing Assistants are capable of helping NAU members in all course levels, subject matters, or difficulty.

I've attached a flyer below with information on our program, which we ask that you please share with your faculty, students, and staff. Using the link listed on the flyer, students are able to quickly and easily sign themselves up for time slots that are most convenient to them to meet with one of our Writing Assistants. We've moved the vast majority of our appointments online to help students social distance, but we also have a few face-to-face options available as well.

If you have any questions about the program or additional concerns please feel free to respond to this email, or if your students have additional questions they can email iwriting@nau.edu.

We hope to see your students soon!

School Computing Policy

Question: Assignment 2, question 12. School's computing policies. I don't have teaching experiences or any school affiliation yet, what should I do?  Answer: We can select any school's or school district's computing policy. If you know which school you may be teaching it, its policy could be a good one. Or you can just select the one from your local schools.  Generally, schools or school districts should publish their policy on the website. For example, here is the one from the Kyrene school district. https://www.kyrene.org/Page/21478
