As educators, we have a "moral and ethical obligation to … model use of digital media in a socially responsible way, and maintain a participatory and inclusive attitude in pedagogy and in learning environment design" (Alam & McLoughlin, 2010).

ETC655 students at Northern Arizona University are providing several Online Professional Development sessions for educators in integrating emerging technologies, sponsored by ETC Community. These free online professional development sessions are open for all to attend. If you have any questions on the session, please contact Dr. Chih Tu at Chih.Tu@Nau.Edu

For ETC students, if you plan to take ETC655 in the future, this is a good chance for you to learn from current ETC655 students.  When enrolling in ETC655, you may be required to deliver a similar online PD to the ETC community.

Sign up the sessions: Without signing up, you are still encouraged to attend these sessions. The presenters may have training materials or information for the participants.

All online training sessions will be recorded and archived.

School Computing Policy

Question: Assignment 2, question 12. School's computing policies. I don't have teaching experiences or any school affiliation yet, what should I do?  Answer: We can select any school's or school district's computing policy. If you know which school you may be teaching it, its policy could be a good one. Or you can just select the one from your local schools.  Generally, schools or school districts should publish their policy on the website. For example, here is the one from the Kyrene school district. https://www.kyrene.org/Page/21478
