ASNAU information

Hello students of the College of Education.

My name is Samantha D'leon and I am the senate for your college. I just wanted to let you ALL know some of the great things ASNAU has to offer especially since we implented the "23 fee." Basically, I wanted to let you all know about the free money you, your clubs or organization can recieve.

First off, there are two types of funding applications that have been produced with the "23 fee." There is an "Individual Allocation Funding Application" and "Organizational Allocaton Funding Application." Quick note, funding can not go towards foods or beverage, must benefit the school is some way or other students whether it's relaying information to other students or letting them know about the great opportunity. Students may recieve a maximum of $150.00 per academic year whether the money goes to studying aborad, an internship or some type of leadership conference. However, students may apply for an extension of $250.00 if needed. This is a reimbursement process and you as a student must show your receipts. You must go to the appropriations meeting on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. and then the Senate meeting, which are at 4 p.m. on Thursdays. Clubs/Organzations can apply for a $300.00 as an organization allocation and if needed can apply for an extended OA of $200.00.

Other litte things to mention is that clubs and organizations can make up to 50 copies a day for free (black & white) at the ASNAU office.

Clubs/Organizations can submit a poster request form and have 30 posters per event printed off and up to 3 events per semester.

Clubs and organizations can use free colorful poster paper in the office along with scissors, markets, pencils etc.

My office hours are fom 10 a.m. - 12 p.m on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Anyone can feel more than free to stop by and ask questions. However, there are senators in the ASNAU office at all hours from 8-5 Monday through Friday. We are located in the union on the 2nd floor above leads and the best way to get help is to stop by the office and ask someone if you need help with anything whatsoever. Have a great day!

Above is the main information that I feel a lot of students do not know about. I think this information will help students realize how much ASNAU has to offer. It was a pleasure to meet you and I will be seeing you throughout the year.

School Computing Policy

Question: Assignment 2, question 12. School's computing policies. I don't have teaching experiences or any school affiliation yet, what should I do?  Answer: We can select any school's or school district's computing policy. If you know which school you may be teaching it, its policy could be a good one. Or you can just select the one from your local schools.  Generally, schools or school districts should publish their policy on the website. For example, here is the one from the Kyrene school district. https://www.kyrene.org/Page/21478
