ETC545

I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July. I need your help in redesigning ETC545. ETC curriculum design team is updating ETC545 instructions for the upcoming semesters.  Your feedback, comments, and suggestions are very valuable to this redesign process.

Please visit and complete Data-Informed Learning survey which may take 8-10 minutes. I would really appreciate your participations. Please do log in your NAU account to participate this survey. Thank you so much!!!

I highly recommend that you print a copy of your grade book on BBLearn and save it in your records.  For now on, please forward your correspondence to my NAU e-mail account at Chih.Tu@Nau.Edu.

Our classmates asked me about a Master Degree in Educational Technology at NAU.  NAU does offer a master degree (30 Credit Hours) and a certificate (15 Credit Hours) in Educational Technology with the emphases in K-12 and Adult Learning.  The degree offers fast-track curriculum.  A master program can be completed in a year if preferred.  For more information see: http://nau.edu/coe/educational-technology/

During the session we have joined various Web 2.0 groups, please free to leave the groups, such as ETC545 Twitter etc.  We will use the same groups for upcoming ETC545 instructions.  If you would like to get updated on educational technology resources, trends and news, I encourage you to follow ETC Community:

Several of you asked whether you could follow me on various social media.  Yes, please feel free to do so.  Here are my social media contacts:

It has been a wonderful experience to work with you.  If there is anything that I can be helpful professionally or personally, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best wishes,

Chih

School Computing Policy

Question: Assignment 2, question 12. School's computing policies. I don't have teaching experiences or any school affiliation yet, what should I do?  Answer: We can select any school's or school district's computing policy. If you know which school you may be teaching it, its policy could be a good one. Or you can just select the one from your local schools.  Generally, schools or school districts should publish their policy on the website. For example, here is the one from the Kyrene school district. https://www.kyrene.org/Page/21478
