Instructor Notes for Module 1: #3

Before we go on the weekend. I thought I should share more information to help you to prepare the class work.

What did we do well?

1st posting period: Many interesting challenges shared with good background information.

Self-introduction in Seesaw: I enjoy reading them and so pleased to learn we have very diversified backgrounds that would enrich our learning experiences. If you haven't read them, please do.  You will learn how talented our classmates are. The self-introduction on Remind will remain open for you to continue carrying the conversations.

Exploring different network technologies: It is great to see we have classmates exploring different network technologies, such as Remind, EdPuzzle, Seesaw etc. Continue doing so. You will learn a lot more than what it is required for our class.

Earning badge: Besides exploring different network technologies, you can unlock digital badges and display on your final unit. In fact, the first badge was unlocked today.

What could we improve?

Subject Field: Put something meaningful in the Subject Field so our classmates have better ideas on your posting before clicking and reading it. It is likely you will get more feedback for the identified challenges. It will help you to prepare your assignment 1 and to develop your final unit. You can edit your existing posting to update the Subject Field. Look for the "Edit" button at the end of the posting.

Assignments: Be thorough. The more you put in, likely receiving more feedback.

Unlock badges: Be sure to provide links and/or attachments to proof your accomplishments.

Due: 06/07, Sunday

  • 2nd posting period: THREE or more postings: Comment & respond at least THREE students' initial postings. Total FOUR postings at least for this module.
  • Assignment 1: Online learning framework
  • Assignment 4: Final Project: Online learning unit
    • Complete Section I: Framework
    • No submission needed. To be submitted in Module 3

School Computing Policy

Question: Assignment 2, question 12. School's computing policies. I don't have teaching experiences or any school affiliation yet, what should I do?  Answer: We can select any school's or school district's computing policy. If you know which school you may be teaching it, its policy could be a good one. Or you can just select the one from your local schools.  Generally, schools or school districts should publish their policy on the website. For example, here is the one from the Kyrene school district. https://www.kyrene.org/Page/21478
